Care

Shell Fossil consists largely of calcite (lime) and, with a Mohs hardness of approximately 3 to 4, is a soft, scratch-sensitive stone. Wear your bracelet gently, store it separately, and keep it away from keys and harder jewellery to prevent scratches.

As lime is acid-sensitive, acidic liquids, perfume, soap, and lotion can damage the surface and dull the fossil markings. Keep your bracelet away from these, remove it before showering, swimming, and washing up, and do not leave the stone submerged in water for extended periods.

For care, wipe the beads with a soft, dry cloth and avoid chemical cleaners. This will help the earthy colours and fossil patterns retain their understated character.
