The Bracelet Generator: your digital workshop

Our online generator is designed as your digital workshop. Designing your own bracelet at Mad Monk means you have creative control over the final look. You select the size of the beads (6 mm or 8 mm), build the pattern bead by bead, and provide your wrist circumference.

While you design, you will see a live preview on your screen. Once you are satisfied and place your order, we bring your digital design to life by hand.

Step 1: Select natural stones with meaning

Everything starts with a strong foundation: natural gemstones. In the generator, you will find a carefully selected collection, ranging from the deep black of Onyx to the warm gold of Tiger's Eye and the serene white of Howlite. Traditionally, every stone carries its own symbolism. Are you looking for something that symbolizes a new beginning? Lava Stone is often worn for that purpose. Do you want a symbol for focus? Howlite is traditionally associated with that quality. Choose the tranquility of a single type of stone or combine different varieties into a personal palette.

Once you have chosen your stones, the design process begins. Drag the beads to the design field and watch your bracelet take shape. Go for symmetry or opt for an asymmetrical look. Between your selected natural stones, we place our signature silver Mad Monk bead. This brand detail, made of 925 sterling silver, is handcrafted by Plasabali in Bali, polished, and then oxidized for a characteristic finish.

Step 3: Preview the design on a wrist

During the design process, the generator helps you form a realistic image. With the click of a button, our technology generates a preview of your design as it would look worn on a wrist. View this as a visual indication: because we work with natural products, stones may vary in color and pattern in reality. If the design isn't quite right yet, simply adjust it. You can also save your creation or share the link for a second opinion.

Step 4: The right wrist size for a perfect fit

A bracelet should be comfortable to wear. Measuring your wrist size is simple: wrap a piece of string or a strip of paper tightly around your wrist where you intend to wear the bracelet, and mark the point where it meets. Then measure the length with a ruler. Provide this exact measurement to us; we will calculate the necessary slack for a proper fit.

We string the bracelets on high-quality elastic cord. There are many types of elastic that differ in stretch and durability. After extensive testing, we have chosen the type that performs best for these types of bracelets. Because elastic can wear or snap over time with use, we offer a repair service should it ever be necessary.

Step 5: Your jewelry, handcrafted for you

Once you place your order (designing is possible from €59), we get to work. Each bracelet is hand-strung in the Netherlands with meticulous attention to detail. As natural stones are unique, minor variations are part of the jewelry's charm, but the sequence of stones you choose always remains the lead guide.
